A familiar fairy tale comes to life in the New Year's Eve in the Opera and Ballet Theater. Young and certainly talented dancers in the language of dance will tell a magical story unfolding in the dream of the girl Masha on Christmas night. The heroine along with a wooden doll, the Nutcracker, has to fight with the Mouse King and go on a journey through the fairyland. This holiday with miracles and a huge Christmas tree on the stage of the theater was created by production designer Maria Volskaya.
The lightness and elegance of the Waltz of the Flowers, the adagio and the dance of the Fairy Drazhes create an atmosphere of sacrament and wonder. In addition, the music is so figurative that you can hear the shouts of sentry and mouse squeals, drumming and falling water drops in fountains, the bitter cold and the play of moonlight, and, of course, the feelings of the characters.
The choreographer - Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Konstantin Uralsky notes the special magic of this immortal Christmas story, which is equally loved and warmly received in many countries around the world.
Bright staging, amazing costumes, stunning scenery, classical choreography, familiar from childhood and the most favorite melodies - a real Christmas miracle and a wonderful gift for adults and kids!
All the magnificence of wonderful music you can hear in the performance of the symphony orchestra of the Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Theater.
