Third “Delta-Jazz” International Festival Completed

The third “Delta-Jazz” International Jazz Festival has come to an end. The well-known team “Vittorio Cuculo Group” (Italy) performed with their project “The best in jazz — in the vagaries of bi-bop” for the citizens and the guests of the city with a full house. It was their first time in Russia, but Astrakhan jazz fans met the musicians very warmly. And the musicians themselves were working to the full. The artists noted that it was very important to perform at the closing of the event, as it’s like the crown of the entire large “Delta-Jazz” festival. As for the program, today jazzmen in their speech tried to tell about an exciting journey from Rome to Astrakhan and to express their emotions and impressions.

The musicians presented a style of jazz music, which comes from the first half of the forties of the last century - a bipop. The main feature is complex improvisations and fast tempo which p harmony, not melody. The musicians improvised and at the same time created music that was even brighter, more exotic and sounding even more sharply and unusually.

Jazz that was in the centre of attention on the stage of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater highly impressed those who heard the fascinating sounds of this most vibrant and dance music in the world.
