Let's remind that last year the Astrakhan state theatre of Opera and Ballet has received a grant of the President of Russia. Support creative projects received nearly 100 cultural figures in all regions of the country. Among winners - Yulia Skripchenkova, the stage director of the Astrakhan theatre Opera and Ballet. Grant funded project of theatrical programs for children "Reading the Opera", designed to cultivate the younger generation the interest in modern musical art and to learn to understand the opera. Within this project, since last theatrical season, there have passed three programs. Works of the Russian classics have been embodied on the stage in combination with musical fragments from the operas written by the famous composers.
Today's program "Passion of Gentle, Mild Souls, Destiny of Oppressed" was introduced to schoolchildren with the founder of sentimentalism in Russia Nikolai Karamzin. Thanks to him the syllable in literature became sensitive, melodic and emotional. The true triumph of the Russian sentimentalism has taken place with the novel of N. M. Karamzin "Poor Liza" which has become the largest sensation in the Russian literature of the 18th century.
It is the best-known and nearly the shortest of all Karamzin stories, but it shook literary world.
180 years later after the edition of the story the talented, young composer Leonid Desyatnikov created a musical canvas — the opera "Poor Lisa". Actually, the composer career of Desyatnikov began with this work.
Today the Astrakhan schoolchildren for the first time heard fragments of this chamber work.
On the stage young actors has read fragments of the well-known story and has experienced tragic destiny of Liza through a lens of scenic symbols.
The program was attended by the soloists of the Astrakhan state theatre of Opera and Ballet: Elena Razgulyaeva and Mingiyan Odzhayev, artists of symphonic orchestra in chamber composition, and also the student of the Astrakhan college of culture and art Tamara Ulyumdzhiyeva and the student of Astrakhan state university Alexander Ulanov.
