Astrakhan and Belgrade Establish Cultural Links

Last week,  a meeting of the Astrakhan region Government Deputy Chairman, Minister of Culture and Tourism Galina Zoteeva, Artistic and General Director of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theatre Valery Voronin and the Russian House Head  Nadezhda Kuschenkova took place on the initiative of the Russian Science and Culture Center in Serbia.

Russian House Direction noted the priority of the Russian Federation regions cultural potential promotion abroad for adoption of objective and attractive image of Russia. During the meeting, the Astrakhan region Government  Deputy Chairman, Minister of Culture and Tourism Galina Zoteeva and Artistic and General Director of the Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Theatre Valery Voronin shared experience of international projects in the field of culture and talked about the major regional projects in this sphere.

A little later, Valery Voronin visited the National Theatre in Belgrade, where he met the Chief Conductor, Theater Director Deyang Savich. They discussed issues of cooperation, implementation of joint projects, the possible exchange of experiences, mutual invitations of conductors and soloists of the theaters, the possibility of large-scale cultural events, both in Belgrade and in Astrakhan. We are now preparing an agreement on mutual creative cooperation.
