"Music on the grass" Festival is waiting for fans of musical evenings

In May 2017 the Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Theatre organizes the festival "Music on the Grass", which is held in the Theatre Park  for the fourth year. Every week at the bottom of the theatre, singers and musicians will give their fans unforgettable performances. Wonderful vocal and instrumental music of the festival’s programs brings a real pleasure. Astrakhans will listen to classical and popular music performed by local ensembles and groups  in the open air until May 31. As in previous seasons, the repertoire of the festival includes classical works, jazz, rock, popular melodies, songs from movies performed by theatre artists, as well as famous city bands and soloists. The idea of "Music on the grass"  Festival  is to create additional cultural leisure for residents and visitors of our city.

The program of "Music on the Grass"  Festival - 2017

•    May 3 at 7 pm - "Music of the cinema." Famous songs from Russian and foreign films will be presented by an instrumental ensemble under Yuri Elperin (Elperin Band) and soloists of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theatre.
•    May 10 at 7 pm- the most talented participants of the show "Your Exit", which took place on TV chanal "STS", will take part. The Astrakhans, who not only love to sing, but also do it very well, will perform for the audience of the festival.
•    May 16 at 7 pm - Astrakhan children's vocal groups will please the townspeople with their talent and skill.
•    May 23 at 7 pm - the famous Astrakhan rock bands will perform their  classical rock works as well as author compositions.
•    May 31 at 7 pm - closing of the festival. The soloists of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theatre will take viewers to the ever-young world of opera, operetta and musicals.

"Music on the grass" is an occasion to have a good time, listen to performers of various musical trends. During the concerts there will be organized food courts, recreation areas, spectator zones, etc  in the Theatre Park. The entrance for spectators is free. Leisure in the open air, interesting communication, meeting with beloved bands and performers, a variety of musical styles and directions, competitions and prizes from partners - all this makes it  possible to call "Music on the Grass" Festival unique and unrepeatable.

The atmosphere of a cozy plaid picnic and live music performed by artists of our theatre and invited musicians leave nobody indifferent.
