80 days left before the long-awaited open air premiere of M. Glinka's opera “Ruslan and Lyudmila”. Only two days: on August 30 and 31, a symphony orchestra, a magnificent choir and the voices of the best soloists will be heard at the walls of the Astrakhan Kremlin and the cathedral.
The project “Russian Operas in the Astrakhan Kremlin” is a creative find and a unique idea of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater. The implementation of such an event became possible with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the regional Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Astrakhan Diocese. This year, the opera M. Glinka "Ruslan and Lyudmila" will be presented to the audience. The theater action will unfold under the sky in the architectural scenery of the Astrakhan Kremlin at 8 pm (at 7 pm Moscow time).
The artistic director and principal conductor of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater Valery Voronin and opera director Georgy Isaakyan embody the performance into life. Georgy Isaakyan is a recognized figure in Russian culture, artistic director of the Moscow State Academic Children's Musical Theater named after N.I. Sats.
The soloists of the opera, chorus, ballet, symphony orchestra, all production workshops and technical services of the theater are involved in the production. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Pyotr Migunov (St. Petersburg, Moscow), Anna Denisova (Mariinsky Theater, St. Petersburg) are invited to participate in the premiere.
The journey by plane from Moscow to Astrakhan is only 2-3 hours that gives a great opportunity for connoisseurs of culture and for those who wish but live in other cities to see the performance.
