Today, September 27, a new project started at the Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Theater - the International Cultural Center "Big Caspian Vocal Day" as part of the regional program "Young Opera Soloists. The Beginning of the Way".
The forum participants were welcomed by the artistic director and chief conductor of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater Valery Voronin, theater director Natalya Shagova, opera coaches Irina Soboleva, Eva Blahova (Austria), Pantelis Polychronidis (Greece), rector of the Astrakhan Conservatory Aleksandr Mostykanov.
Eva Blahova admitted that she saw our theater only on postcards that her colleague Irina Soboleva showed her. Astrakhan soloists are already well acquainted with the methodology of teaching Honored Artist of Russia Irina Soboleva, because she comes to Astrakhan for the third time. For Pantelis Polychronidis, the visit was also the first, but very symbolic. He admitted that in his youth he read a lot of Pushkin and Tolstoy.
The event caused a great resonance not only in the professional community of Astrakhan. Accompanists and soloists from Volgograd, Saratov, Samara, Perm, Krasnoyarsk and Moscow came to participate in the forum. Participants from Georgia, Ukraine and Belarus joined the project.
Professionals did not waste time, therefore eminent accompanists started rehearsals and master classes immediately after the opening of the forum. Within 10 days, the soloists of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater, students of the conservatory and music college under the guidance of accompanists will prepare one of the opera parts.
