Prominent cultural workers of Russia come to Astrakhan

   The press conference on the eve of the opening of the cycle of events dedicated to the anniversary of Pyotr Tchaikovsky actually became a declaration of love for the work of the genius composer. Today, representatives of various creative professions attended the meeting with the journalists of the regional media and students of the journalism faculty of ASU: artistic director and chief conductor of the theater Valery Voronin, artistic director of the ballet, chief choreographer, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Dmitry Gudanov, soloist of the Mariinsky Theater Natalya Evstafieva, famous pianist Peter Laul.

   It so happened that Tchaikovsky's music affects all directions in art: opera, ballet, and symphonic music. In addition to seven symphonies, many romances, concerts and piano miniatures, Pyotr Tchaikovsky wrote three ballets and ten operas. Artistic director Valery Voronin spoke about the upcoming events in celebration of the composer's anniversary. Of course, the main event of the Tchaikovsky week will be the concert on September 20, in which not only artists, the choir and the symphony orchestra of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater will take part, but also guest stars: prima donna of the Mariinsky Theater Natalya Evstafieva, Alexander Krasnov, pianist Peter Laul, prima ballerina Bolshoi Theater Ekaterina Krysanova, Bolshoi Theater premier Semyon Chudin, soloist of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Musical Theater - Ivan Mikhalev.

   Director of the theater Natalia Shagova expressed gratitude to the Russian Culture Fund and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, with the support of which it became possible to hold such a large-scale event in Astrakhan.

   Artistic director and chief choreographer Dmitry Gudanov shared his joy with journalists: “It is a great honor to participate in this concert and invite guests from the Bolshoi Theater. There will be a premiere during the concert. A new era is opening. For the first time, the choreography of Balanchine, who had a passion for Tchaikovsky's music, will appear on the stage of the theater. Prima and Bolshoi premier Ekaterina Krysanova and Semyon Chudin will perform an excerpt from the ballet Jewels. The beginning of cooperation with the Balanchine Foundation ”.

   Pyotr Laul admitted that it is nice to be in Astrakhan again and play Tchaikovsky's music, and Natalya Evstafieva told reporters about the peculiarities of her work, about the complexity of performing Tchaikovsky's music and about the difficult part of Boyaryna Morozova.
