Fans of the ballet should hurry up, because on October 15 at 19.00 October the first performance of this theatrical season, Don Quixote, will be given. For the first time in the Astrakhan production, the prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater, People's Artist of Russia, laureate of the Golden Mask Prize Maria Alexandrova and the premier of the Bolshoi Theater, Honored Artist of Russia Vladislav Lantratov will be soloing. Maria will play one of her best parts - the part of Kitri, and Vladislav - the part of Basil.
Fruitful cooperation with the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater became possible thanks to the invitation of the chief choreographer, People's Artist of Russia Dmitry Gudanov .. Maria Alexandrova and Dmitry Gudanov are colleagues at the Bolshoi Theater, stage partners and high-class professionals. In August, Maria gave master classes for the female ballet cast and she spoke very warmly both about the theater and about the artists.
The ballerina was the first performer of many ballets staged at the main theater of the country, such as The Flames of Paris, Esmeralda, Coppelia, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Symphony in C and others. The viewer remembered her for the deep and multifaceted embodiment of the classical ballet images of her heroines: Juliet, Carmen, Kitri, Mekhmene Banu, Odette-Odile, Sylphide, Raymonda, Medora, Aegina, Nikia, Gamzatti, Aspicchia, Aurora.
The Russian ballerina was applauded at the Paris Opera, New York, Japan, her partners were premieres Nikolai Tsiskaridze, Sergei Filin, Igor Kolb, Dmitry Gudanov, Igor Zelensky, Jose Manuel Carreño. The ballerina worked with the most extraordinary choreographers of our time - Radu Poklitaru, Alexei Ratmansky, Kritofer Wheeldon, as well as recognized classics of the 20th century - Yuri Grigorovich and Roland Petit.
Vladislav Lantratov, a star of the Bolshoi Theater and a representative of a bright ballet dynasty, is one of the best dancers in the troupe. On stage, the artist is always diverse and unpredictable. Vladislav's ballet roles are very different - from demonic ones, such as the Evil Genius in Swan Lake, to subtle lyrical ones, like Count Albert in the ballet Giselle.
The famous French choreographer, Chevalier of the French Order of Literature and Arts Jean-Christophe Mayo composed the part of Petruchio especially for Vladislav when he staged the ballet "The Taming of the Shrew" at the Bolshoi Theater.
The performance contains an amazing number of dance numbers: from the most famous scenes of classical ballet - such as the dream of Don Quixote, surrounded by dancing dryads - to fiery Spanish and gypsy dances.
