After the premiere on the Small Stage of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater of Imre Kalman's operetta "Silva" I’d like to say: "Do not look down on the operetta!" It is easy to contemplate what is happening on stage, but to embody a bright, cheerful genre is incredibly difficult. Operetta is a complex genre. Here the artist must show all facets of his talent: try to sing, dance and play a role at the same time! The Astrakhan opera soloists coped with this brilliantly! Today's premiere has become a wonderful gift for Astrakhan women by March 8th.
A creative team worked on the performance: conductor - stage director - Evgeny Kirillov, stage director - Alexander Prasolov, set designer, costume designer - Natalya Gorshkova, choirmaster - Svetlana Razdrogina, accompanist - Marina Malenkikh, lighting designer - Alexey Akimov , choreographer - Anna Dmitrienko. The production team tried to embody all the subtleties and nuances of the original version of "Silva".
The operetta staged by the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater touched upon the eternal themes of human experience: love, jealousy, passion, disappointment and hope. Almost all creative groups are involved in the performance: orchestra, choir, ballet, opera soloists.
Congratulations to the entire staff of the theater on the premiere and the first production of a classical operetta!
