Giuseppe Verdi remains the most popular and important opera composer in the world. The melodies of his works are remembered instantly and forever, and the operas make up the basis of the repertoire of absolutely all opera houses in the world. More than 20 operas were created by the outstanding Italian composer and artistic innovator. The operas "Rigoletto", "Il Trovatore" and "La Traviata", the famous "three stars" of G. Verdi, were especially popular. Never before had Verdi's music been so emotional and expressive.
On May 28 and 29, the Astrakhan Theater will add to its collection of Verdi’s operas and present the premiere performance "Rigoletto" to the audience. We would like to remind that that the operas "La Traviata" and "Il Trovatore" are already performed with great success on the Big Stage. The opera will be staged in Astrakhan by the famous opera director Mikhail Pandzhavidze, whose creative activity started at the Lower Volga. He staged his first performance in the Musical Theater and it was "Eugene Onegin", followed by "Tosca", "Iolanta", "Pagliacci", "Boris Godunov".
It is an interesting fact that ten productions were presented at the XXXVII International Fyodor Chaliapin Opera Festival in Kazan, and Pandzhavidze was directly involved in six of them, and his work "The Tsar's Bride" caused a sensation at the opening of the forum.
The conductor director of the premiere performance is the artistic director and chief conductor of the theater Valery Voronin. Also, together with Valery Voronin and Mikhail Pandzhavidze, the theater designer Harry Gummel (Germany), Choirmaster Director, the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Galina Duncheva, the sound engineer Valery Sukharev, the plastic director Natalia Terentyeva, the executive concertmaster Marina Malenkikh and others are working on the opera “Rigoletto”.
