Triumph of the Astrakhan opera and ballet theater on tour in Moscow

The troupe of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater had success giving a performance of “Rigoletto” on October, 4 at the New Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre on tour in Moscow.

The Musical Director of the production and Chief Conductor is Valery Voronin.

The Production Director is Mikhail Pandzhavidze.

The Theater Designer is Harry Hummel.

In Moscow the main role of the Duke of Mantua was performed by the soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus Alexei Mikutel.

Other roles were performed by the following actors: Rigoletto - Sergei Taranenko, Gilda - Yana Pavlova, Sparafucile - Anton Perminov, Maddalena - Ksenia Grigorieva, Giovanna - Zinaida Dyuzhova, Count Monterone - Dmitry Sharmanov, Cavalier Marullo - Andrey Shitikov, Count Ceprano - Konstantin Sklyarov, Matteo Borsa - Vladimir Pushkarev, Countess Ceprano - Tatyana Kachanova, Page - Ruzalina Nikiforova, Officer - Konstantin Khripushin.

It is not the first time the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater has been touring, although it is always exciting to perform in Moscow on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater. This event is a great honor for us.

The preparation for the performance was fast and efficient. On the day of arrival, the artists had to have a rehearsal immediately, and the light projections and sound were done at night. Nevertheless, a great team of the staff of the Bolshoi Theater, the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater and the “Seeing Music” project coped with the task, and the opera was performed at the top level and with a full house. Our "Rigoletto" was rightfully greeted with a standing ovation of the admiring audience. Congratulations on the triumph of the production team and the performers!
