The Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater invites you to believe in the magic of love at the New Year's concert “A Dream on a Winter Night”
A winter night is beautiful in its own form: a clear and starry sky, and the ground is silver and you want so much to believe in a fairy tale. The magic of a winter night is mysteriously intertwined with warmth and peace, especially when this moment is shared with those we love.
During the New Year vacations spend this evening with your family and friends at the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater at the concert “A Dream on a Winter's Night”. You will be treated to a New Year's extravaganza in two parts, full of magic, love and intrigue before the grand New Year's Eve ball.
In the kingdom of dreams, a story unfolds where the main wizard, having learned about his daughter's feelings for the Master of musical instruments, decides to intervene and protect his child from possible suffering. He resorts to magic spells, which he casts on the Master so that he gets lost in the winter labyrinth, and he casts a spell on his daughter, forcing her to forget her beloved. And only in her sleep, in the world of dreams and fantasies, the girl still loves her chosen one. This evening, you will be given a festive mood by arias, duets and ensembles from famous operas, songs beloved by many generations from the golden fund of Soviet films such as "Wizards", "An Ordinary Miracle", "Formula of Love", "Carnival", as well as fragments from famous musicals. The Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater invites you to believe in the magic of love, which, of course, can bring suffering, but still, it is for this feeling that it is worth living!
