Before the tour to the prestigious theater festival "The Golden Mask" the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theatre will present the dramatic legend "The Damnation of Faust" by French composer Hector Berlioz.
March 3 the Astrakhans will be able to assess the grandeur of the composer’s music and the greatness of Goethe's text. With the help of complex modern technologies and video projections the viewers will be moved in space and then will fall into the depths of hell.
In 2016 "The Damnation of Faust" premiere inexplicably took place in two theaters at the same time. And the Astrakhan performance was for a few months ahead of the Moscow one at the Bolshoi Theatre, so the honor of the premiere is over the Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Theatre.
