On April 1 and 2, the famous jazz musician Sergei Manukyan performs at the Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Theatre.

The Astrakhans remember Sergei Manukyan for his participation in the first jazz festival "Delta Jazz". This name has been  first discovered then for many of us. He comes in Astrakhan with the new program "The Beatles through the  jazz prism". The connoisseurs of jazz in all countries of the world has applauded him. His voice timbre is characteristic and recognizable: Sergei Manukyan is often compared to Ray Charles. In his interviews, Sergei Manukyan says that the  legendary Ray talent has always inspired him. Yet in his native Grozny, the beginning drummer has admired the blues in the performance of the legend. But Sergey has his own style. He is an extremely talented person, who probably does not remember himself how many years he is in jazz. Sergey Manukyan is a versatile singer, the owner of a plastic voice, which is good for jazz ballads, soul music, and Latin American rhythms. Sergei Manukyan's musical works are performed by Western rock bands, as he has showed himself to be a wonderful composer. This person is a theatre of one actor, and this actor knows everything.

Partners of Sergey Manukyan at the concert in the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theatre are  very interesting musicians. The first of them is an outstanding performer Valery Grokhovsky, a world-class musician who performs with equal brilliance academic music (in particular, the works of Bach, Mozart, Shostakovich, Liszt, Beethoven, Gershwin) and jazz and his own musical works all round the world. He makes records with the outstanding masters of jazz. The drummer Artem Fedotov, a graduate from the Gnessin Academy, is another guest musician.

For the first time the jazz band will perform on stage with the symphony orchestra of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theatre.
