The  Vocal Art Festival  named after Valery Barsova and Maria Maksakova continues

These days the opera stars delight Astrakhans with their art. Many prominent soloists, as well as young talented performers from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Samara, Sochi, have already become participants of the musical event. The festival program is rich and musically diverse. So yesterday  the opera soloists performed with the Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments named after V.Makhova  in the Astrakhan Philharmonic Society . Today there will also be a concert of chamber-vocal music.

Tomorrow,  the opera "Eugene Onegin" will be performed in the Big Hall of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theatre in the framework of the International Festival named after V. Barsova and M. Maksakova. The invited soloists will sing the leading parts. Tatyana will be performed by the soloist of our theatre, laureate of international competitions Elena Razgulyaeva, who is beloved by Astrakhan spectators, and Olga will be performed by the soloist of the Yekaterinburg Opera and Ballet Theatre, laureate of international competitions Anastasia Lepeshinskaya.  The soloist of our theatre Alexander Malyshko as  Eugene Onegin. The soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre, laureate of international competitions Alexander Timchenko as  Lensk . In 2002, he made his debut in this role on the stage of the famous Petersburg theatre. To date, there are more than 25 parts  in his repertoire.

Prince Gremin will be performed by Honored Artist of Russia Pyotr Migunov. Astrakhan theatre-goers has already had the pleasure of hearing his noble bass in the performances of the Astrakhan theatre "Iolanta", "Prince Igor", "The legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh". The popular bass will not only perform Gremin's party, but he will also take part in the final gala concert.

As usual, the Astrakhan theatre symphony orchestra under the Chief conductor Valery Voronin will become full participant of the theatrical event.
