The International Vocal Art Festival named after Valeria Barsova and Maria Maksakova each time gathers eminent soloists of Russia and abroad, as well as young talented vocalists who are just starting their creative path. Music of different styles and eras was played during the Festival.
The opera "Eugene Onegin" by P.I. Tchaikovsky was performed in the Opera and Ballet Theatre, concerts of folk and chamber music were held in the regional Philharmonic Society. Spiritual music sounded in the Conservatory. Festival concerts were held in two districts of the region - Volodarsky and Krasnoyarsky. After five bright days, the Festival finished its work.Not only guests of the Festival, but Astrakhan soloists and the choir took part in the gala concert which was held on the stage of the Big Hall of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theatre.
The Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theatre Symphony Orchestra under Valery Voronin adequately decorated the performance of each soloist for almost two hours.The audience warmly greeted Pyotr Migunov - Honored Artist of Russia, the soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, Andrey Valentiy - the soloist of the National Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Belarus Republic, Alexander Timchenko - the Mariinsky Theatre soloist, Elena Razgulyaeva - the soloist of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theatre, Ekaterina Bogacheva - the soloist of the Sochi Philharmonic Society. The Astrakhan vocalists: Alexey Mikhailov, Zinaida Dyuzhova, Irina Belaya, Irina Bokareva, performed at the solemn closing of the Festival.The soloists showed real mastery in performing difficult and at the same time popular arias from foreign and Russian opera classics.
The final from the opera "Iolanta" by P. Tchaikovsky united all the participants of the concert and became a good final chord.We are sure that the Festival guests will leave Astrakhan with positive emotions after the warm applause.
The Astrakhan theatre troupe, which took an active part in the International Vocal Art Festival named after V. Barsova and M. Maksakova, will be preparing for new performances and concert programs without making stops and pauses.
