Broadcast of the "Golden Mask" performance-nominee in the Astrakhan movie theatre

This year, the unique project "the Golden Mask in Cinema" is working  with the support of the  Russian Federation Ministry of Culture and the Art association Cool Connection. It is aimed to expand the audience of the recognized theatre festival. The project is being implemented for the third consecutive year and is becoming popular not only in Moscow and St. Petersburg, but also in other cities of Russia.

April 14 (20.00) - the play "WAR AND PEACE. THE NOVEL  BEGINNING" of the Moscow "Pyotr Fomenko's Workshop" Theatre.

Spectators of 60 cities of our vast country will be able to see a bright and avant-garde production.

In Astrakhan, the performance will be shown in a live satellite broadcast at the "Treasure Island" cinema (Vorobyova Street) in the Grand River SEC.

"War and Peace" is a novel that is loved not for its contribution to the culture history, no matter how great it is, but for its heroes, whose society has brightened up people's life for the third century. The play of "Workshop" has created its own continuation of the Tolstoy heroes  mythology- and Marya, Natasha, Sonya and others has got another dimension. The theatrical one.

The part of the novel, told by the theatre, is not large - an incomplete first volume. Natasha Rostova is still childishly whimsical  and is in love with Boris Drubetsky; The little Princess Lize has not died yet and Prince Andrey is only going to join the army. The war is only an occasion for salon conversations and boyish games, but the heart is already piercing from the awareness of the fragility and insecurity of a peaceful life, which is in progress on a narrow strip of stage between the auditorium and the map of military operations that serves as a curtain in this play.

The performance was shown in Ukraine, in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, Belgium and the USA.
