Astrakhan is the only region in the South of our country where the magnificent event will take place on the 30th of August - handover of the All-Russian Theatre Marathon baton.
Culmination of the fabulous event will be demonstration of the most remarkable and expected premiere of the new theatre season - opera “Ruslan and Ludmila” by M.Glinka in historical decorations of the Astrakhan Kremlin.
After the baton handover and the large premiere the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet theatre company will go to road tour to Krasnodar where the best 2018-2019 performances will be represented by the artists from 8 to 10 of September. “The Troubadour” opera, one-act ballets “Carmen Suite” and “The Godfather” as well as musical fairy-tale for children “Crystal shoe”.
The guest performance will be held as part of the All-Russian Theatre Marathon which started on the 18th of January in Vladivostok and would finish at the end of 2019, involving all the 85 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
Opera and ballet artists, choir and symphony orchestra musicians, headed by art director and principal conductor Valery Voronin, will take part in the guest performance.
