Tour in Ufa

"The Big Tour" of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater troupe gains great success in Ufa. It was organized by the Federal State Budgetary Institution "ROSCONCERT" in accordance with the All-Russian unified touring and concert plan and Concert Plan of the Ministry of Culture of Russia.
   On April 26 and 28, 2022, two performances were given on the stage of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater - the dramatic legend of Hector Berlioz "The Damnnation of Faust" and the romantic ballet "La Sylphide" by Herman Løvenskiold, which premiered in Astrakhan in the current theatrical season. Over the two days about 1,200 spectators visited the performances. About 147 of them used the Pushkin card. The students of the College of Culture and the Choreographic College, as well as the pupils of the republican boarding and grammar school named after Gaziza Almukhametova also attended the performances.
    The performances aroused great interest among the audience. "The Damnation of Faust" attracted with its originality, as it is a synthesis of opera, oratorio, ballet and symphony.
    "La Sylphide" is always popular because of its unique choreography and magnificent music. The performance was conducted by the Honored Art Worker of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Evgeny Kirillov.
   The performances of our artists and the symphonic orchestra were much appreciated by the responsive Ufa audience, who stood up applauding after each performance.
The theater tours with complex and extensive works, so this time about two hundred people went to Ufa. It became possible to expand the tour map of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater thanks to the All-Russian touring and concert plan - a unique and unprecedented project of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, which helps to manage tours of cultural institutions efficiently.
   Effective cooperation with ROSCONCERT will allow the theater to continue touring in the new 27th theatrical season. In autumn, the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater will take part in the "See the Music" festival and present the premiere performance of "Rigoletto" by G. Verdi.
