The famous Italian tenor and the popular opera coach Giovanni Ribichezu works with the opera troupe of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater. Preparations for the performance of G. Verdi "Rigoletto" are under way; it will premiere on May 28 and 29. Giovanni Ribichezu graduated from the Paris Conservatory as a pianist, successfully performed at numerous concerts, was the winner of various international competitions in Italy, Bulgaria, Switzerland and France. His choice of creative path is quite reasoned: since childhood Ribichezu has been surrounded by the outstanding vocalists: Mario Del Monaco, Franco Corelli, Gino Becchi, Renata Tebaldi. He started taking vocal lessons in 1994 under the direction of Maestro Pier Miranda Ferraro, and some years later — from Franco Corelli himself. He made his debut in the opera "Aida" in Milan. He is the winner of many international vocal competitions, including "Roero in Musika" competition and Renata Tebaldi competition in Milan. The artist constantly tours, performs leading roles in theaters of Italy, America, Slovakia, and Russia.
He has got invaluable experience and today he willingly shares it with the soloists of the Astrakhan troupe. He helps the soloists to learn their roles, teaches the pronunciation of the Italian language. As a true Italian, Ribichezu feels reverence for Verdi's music and treats it with incredible respect.
