This year, with the support of the Russian Federation Ministry of Culture and the art association Cool Connection, a unique project "the Golden Mask in Cinema" is working, which expands the audience of the recognized theatre festival. The project is being implemented for the third consecutive year and it is becoming popular not only in Moscow and St. Petersburg, but also in other cities of Russia. Spectators of 60 cities in our vast country will be able to see four productions. In the program there are two performances, nominated in several categories at once, and two masterpieces tested by time, past years laureates of “the Golden Mask".
In Astrakhan, the performances will be shown in a direct satellite broadcast at the "Treasure Island" cinema (Vorobyova street), in the Grand River shopping mall on the following schedule:
"The Golden Mask" is the highest professional award of Russia, it is presented to performances of all genres of theatrical art: drama, opera, ballet, modern dance, operetta and musical, puppet theater, and also to their creators and performers.
Participation in the festival is an honorable mission of the theatre, it speaks both of high appreciation from the professional community and of the audience recognition. Unfortunately, not all potential viewers have the opportunity to see the main theatrical premieres and their participants. Thanks to the project "the Golden Mask in Cinema", the best theatre productions become available to the widest circle of viewers not only in Moscow, but also in many regions of the country.
